Acknowledgement

The ESI Lab acknowledges the Indigenous peoples and Country that comprise the lands currently referred to as Western Australia. We pay our respect to Elders past and present, and all the creative ancestors who have shaped and continue to shape the land, waterways, air, light and warmth of this place. We are grateful to live in a land which has been continuously cared for since the beginning of creation, both spiritually and physically. We acknowledge the wisdom that is tended within the land, and within the story, song, dance and art that has emerged and continues to emerge from it. We try to recognise all that has happened and continues to happen as a result of one-sided, materialistic colonising practices, and strive as much as we are able to create new ways to walk forward together as human beings who attempt to rightly care for this place in the way that it asks for. We are grateful for the opportunity to do so, and through our work we hope to create spaces where all people can do the same.
